Level of Instruction: All Skill Levels
SkimStone™, a hybridized Portland cement, is an innovative decorative finish for floors, walls, showers, countertop and patio applications. Create beautiful textured patterns with simple troweling methods. You will introduced to the product line and proper surface preparation techniques. A discussion of sealers for waterproofing and stain prevention and combination topcoats to create impervious surfaces for shower installations will be addressed. Get hands on practice as you complete eight sample boards on various substrates including MDF, Formica and tile. In addition, you will complete a "concrete carpet". You will be encouraged to design your own color combinations with color theory guidance from the instructor. Wear paint clothes. Fee includes a complete course syllabus and catered lunches.
Although this class is designed for the professional applicator, creative homeowners wishing to participate are welcome.
