Bring a small piece of your own to paint in the color of your choice... a cabinet door, picture frame, sconces or other accessory piece, lamp base, small table, etc. (your piece should be able to fit in the overhead bin on an airplane!). Obviously, the smaller the piece you bring, the more likely you are to totally finish the piece in the workshop. You will learn to test the existing finish to determine what surface preparation is needed. Because there is NO NEED TO SAND OR PRIME, the surface only needs to be patched and cleaned. Three Annie Sloan decorative painting techniques will be demonstrated including Two-Color distressing, Clouded/Stipple and Dry-brush Antiquing. You will be given the freedom to choose your paint colors and techniques from the demonstrated finishes as you paint. Also, bring your own bottle...wine or beverage of your choice to share. We'll provide the munchies and all supplies for use in class. |
