Artworks Spokane's Design Team

Nancy has been a decorative artist since 1974 and a decorative painting instructor since 1985. She has experience in all aspects of the decorative painting business....shop owner-retailer, custom painting, and teacher. She travels to at least three painting conventions and/or seminars a year to teach and stay abreast of the newest techniques, products, and trends. In addition, she and her team of trained decorative artists do custom faux finishes, designer plaster applications, and decorative concrete finishes in client's homes. Kim's education and background are in graphic design. Owning danilla bean design, her graphic design firm, has made her more than qualified to be in charge of coordinating and designing Artworks' marketing materials. After several years of designing for Artworks graphics, Nancy invited her to join the team of artists doing custom jobs in 2004. She is proficient in cabinet finishing, glazing, lime and acrylic plasters, and concrete overlays.

Nancy found Carol through the Inland Northwest Decorative Artists group. Carol had taken a SkimStone class and found herself intrigued with concrete applications and the endless possibilities to beauitfy existing surfaces. Her creative flair and love of art found her joining the Artworks team in 2008. She is proficient in SkimStone, MileStone, Granicrete, and AuraStone concrete overlays. Have trowel, Will travel!

Peggy joined the Artworks Design team in 2010. She has known and admired Nancy since 1996. She has a background in management and experience with owning her mural business, Artful Illusions, where she installed custom glazing finishes, plasters, and murals in both private homes and businesses. Her creativity and love of art bring another element to the team. She is proficient in murals, glazing, lime and acrylic plasters, and cabinet finishes.

Ellen joined our team in March of 2011. She has been a freelance Quickbooks expert and business owner for over 25 years. Her expertise in accounting and organization keep the office running smoothly and projects coordinated and on-time. Ellen has brought order to the artistic "free spirit". She's a wonderful addition to our team!

John Betts has lived in Spokane Valley since 1980. The son of an avid wood worker he began working in construction in 1995. He brings experience in framing, remodeling, finish carpentry, cabinets, and various other related fields. Currently his emphasis is on concrete surfacing. He joined our team in April of 2011. He's also an excellent drummer (which comes in handy when trying to get air bubbles out of poured concrete)!

Joelle Chester came to us happily in April, 2012. With over 12 years experience in Directional & Online Marketing she has the edge needed to help spread the word about Artworks, a company she feels is one of a kind! "The vision and talent here at Artworks Spokane just drew me in. It makes coming to the studio a pleasure!" Her outgoing personality and warm friendly manner make her a joy to be around. She brings fresh and new ideas for the marketing and networking to both our business and product lines. We look forward to growing because of her!
