Urban/Contemporary Furniture Finishes
7 hours..........$325.00 Use combinations of metallic paints, metallic plasters, gilding, foiling, crackle, and distressing to create unique finishes suitable for modern, contemporary spaces. Techniques include gilded diamonds, brushed metal, hammered copper, metallic crackle, mardi gras, schaibin, distressed metallic and oriental bamboo finishes. Lecture and demos will include proper surface preparation techniques for new and used furniture. Samples will be executed on panels and ornamental molding. Top coats include polyurethane and acrylic waxes. Wear paint clothes. Fee includes a complete course syllabus including product conversion charts and all materials for use in class, snacks and a catered lunch.
